Dear Parent or Guardian:
Children need healthy meals to learn. Pendleton County
Schools offers healthy meals every school day. Meal prices at the
elementary schools are: breakfast $.70
and lunch $1.30. At the middle/high
school meal prices are: breakfast $.85
and lunch $1.40. Your children may
qualify for free meals or for reduced-price meals. Reduced price
is $.30 for breakfast and $.40
for lunch.
To apply for free or reduced-price meals, use the
Free and Reduced Price School Meals Application, which will be mailed
to student homes in early August. Because
applications will be scanned this year. The original form must be
completed (no copies). If you need additional applications, please
contact the Board of education Office or your child's school.
Be sure to fill out all required information as we
cannot approve an application that is not complete. Applications
will be processed as quickly as possible and a letter sent to you
informing you of your child's meal benefit status.
It is important to return the application to me as quickly as
possible. Changes to free and reduced will not be retroactive back
to the first day of school this year. Free and reduced benefits
