GREETINGS FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I want to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year and to the North Fork Elementary School website. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with our excellent staff and your children again this year. As everyone knows, this year is going to be very different for our staff and for our students. The health and safety of our students and staff will be our top priority. Some of our safety measures we will be following are as follows:
Students and staff will be screen with temperature checked daily.
Face coverings will be required of all students in grades 3-6 while they are in the halls and while they are riding their bus.
Classrooms and desks will be cleaned throughout the school day.
Thanks to Pendleton Community Care, we now have 2 refrigerated water fountains equipped with a refilling station to reduce the need to touch the faucet handles. Our Community in Schools program has purchased water bottles for all of our students. They will be sanitized daily.
On behalf of our staff, I want to thank you for supporting our school by making sure you do not send your children to school when they are showing signs that they are ill. We look forward to the coming school year and with your help, it will be a successful year." - John Jenkins

The Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program is Back!
North Fork Elementary School is excited that we have received the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) again this year. This program provides all children at our school with a variety of free fresh fruits and vegetables 2‐3 times per week. It is an effective and creative way of introducing fresh fruits and vegetables to our students as healthy snack options.
The Goals of the FFVP are:
To create healthier school environments by providing healthier food choices
Expand the variety of fruits & vegetables children experience
Increase children's fruit & vegetable consumption
Make a difference in children's diets to impact their present & future health
