Teacher and Service Personnel of the Year

On Tuesday, June 13 the Pendleton County School Board held the Annual Retirement/Personnel Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the South Fork Ruritan Building. The 2022-2023 Pendleton County Teacher of the Year was named, Ms. Leslie Bowers (NFES) and the 2022-2023 Pendleton County Service Personnel of the Year was named, Ms. Linda Mallow (PCMHS). 

Throughout the ceremony, there was an abundance of laughter and reminiscing, reinforcing Board President J.D. Wilkins's message that Pendleton County School employees are not only a team, but more importantly family.

Teachers of the Year were also recognized from all locations.

In addition to honoring those who won the Teacher and Service Personnel of the Year Awards, the Board recognized the following staff who have retired with the end of this school year:

Kimberly Keplinger-33 years with Pendleton County

Dolly Rexrode-30 years with Pendleton County

Kathy Smith-2 years with Pendleton County

Karen Propst-37 years with Pendleton County

Johnny Murphy-27 years with Pendleton County

Linda Mallow-27 years with Pendleton County

Finally, awards were presented to both Pendleton County Middle/High School and Brandywine Elementary School from The West Virginia Board of Education and The West Virginia Department of Education for Receiving Exceeds Standards on the 2022 Balanced Scorecard.

Pendleton County Middle High School received their reward for Exceeding Standards on the 2022 Balanced Scorecard Indicator of Graduation Rates.

Mr. Dave Eason and Ms. Carrie Nesselrodt received this award on behalf of PCMHS.

Brandywine Elementary School received their reward for Exceeding Standards on the 2022 Balanced Scorecard Indicator of Math Progress. 

Mr. Ryan Lambert received this award on behalf of Brandywine Elementary.

Brandywine Elementary also won the coveted "Attendance Cup" for the best attendance for the 2022-2023 school year.
