Jaycee Jameson, Chloe Landon, and Alessandra Christian were the winners for the last nine weeks of school attendance drawing! Congratulations!

Tucker Hedrick, Hallie Hedrick, Harper Hedrick, Lane Nesselrodt, and Luke Kimble received special recognition for having perfect attendance for the entire year!!! They also received prizes for this huge accomplishment!

Our winners for the Child Abuse Awareness coloring contest hosted by the Family Support Center. River Gilley got 1st place, Rosalyn Nesselrodt 2nd place, and Adalynn Brown 3rd place.

5th grade enjoyed the bounce houses today as part of the 4th 9 weeks reward.

Fourth graders enjoyed exploring The Smoke Hole Caverns and gem mining while on their end of the year field trip!

Gary and Kathy Price taught the fourth-grade classes about where geodes are located and how they are formed. A lesson on the proper safety measures and techniques was also discussed and props were brought to demonstrate the importance. The students worked in small groups to label the parts of a volcano and then got to crack open their very own geode.

Making FUN memories the last days of school!

Mrs. Mowery's class enjoyed their Reading Camp-Out! They made "s'mores" by using graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate with sight words and spelling words on them. They enjoyed making forts and writing/drawing the steps to make s'mores!

Brooke Alt from the Pendleton County Extension Office presented to the fourth-grade classes about products that are produced directly from farms and then the byproducts that come as a result. The students made webs connecting these products together and then played a game of Jeopardy to test their knowledge.

Mrs. Mowery’s 2A class enjoyed being tacky tourists while “visiting” Florida! We took a virtual field trip to the Florida Everglades, wrote by the beach, and drew Disney characters. We protected ourselves from sunburns and still had a fun-filled day, even through the rain!

Mrs. George's class enjoyed  " Reading Camp" today, working with headlamps, lanterns, building a campfire and roasting marshmallows! 

Mrs. Sites' student created and presented a wonderful PowerPoint presentation on "Cars" to his classmates in 2B, and even built four of his own! Great STEM work!! ( Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

Don't forget tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20th, is "Bank at School. Please make sure your student brings some money to deposit if they have an account. It is not too late to sign up. You can still submit their application, and they can make a deposit. There is no minimum deposit amount.

Our school had the honor of hosting Miss West Virginia America, Courtney Bearer. She gave a motivational talk to the students about keeping their hearts healthy through exercise. She also highlighted the importance of never giving up on your dreams, even if you fail at your first attempt or if it takes you years to accomplish them. Courtney shared her awesome hula hooping talent with the students! In addition, she spent the day with classes in grades fourth-sixth in the mobile Ag Lab.
