Third grade enjoyed learning about different careers in our community on Career Day! Thanks to the presenters for sharing your career! 💙

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped sort and distribute pizza kits on Monday. We greatly appreciate you!
Thank you to everyone who supported the Little Caesar's Pizza Fundraiser. Your support is so much appreciated from everyone here at FES! 🐾💙

Mrs. Flanigan’s Kindergartners became their own version of Frankenstein! They poured and mixed, poked and glued, and grew their very own scary MONSTERS! 👻🎃🖤

The Preschool and Kindergarten classes loved Trick-or-Treating around Franklin. Thank you to all of the local businesses for allowing us to visit and providing our students with an abundance of goodies! 🎃👻

Kindergarten through 4th grade students got up close and personal with the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department. Members gave a presentation in the classroom on fire safety at home, and then the students were able to go outside to learn about all of the equipment on the trucks. 🔥 🏡👨🏻🚒🚒

5th and 6th graders participated in The Great Pumpkin Drop after learning about Newton’s Laws of Motion in Mrs. Shreve’s Science class. They were able to work individually or in groups to create the best protection possible for their pumpkin. All students were invited to watch as the pumpkins were dropped off of the building. Out of 34 projects, 2 survived with no faults or cracks. This was a memorable experience for all! 🎃

We are so thankful for the support from our community! 🍕♥️

Mrs. Nicely’s 1st graders had the top sales for our Little Caesars Fundraiser, so they were rewarded with some extra recess at the park! 🛝🍁
Ms. Simmons’s students had a blast at Boys Day Out with their remote control car races! 🏎

Reminder: Fall Picture Retakes are tomorrow! 📸

The November lunch menu is now live!

Our Kindergarteners visited Back Home on the Farm where they learned about how bees pollinate flowers and make honey, how to care for milk cows, plucked the perfect pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, watched a piggy race, and participated in Reader's Theater about the book Chicken Little! What a great time! 🎃🐝🐮🐷

Celebrate Red Ribbon Week with us this week! ♥️🐾🚫

In honor of School Bus Safety, our Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third grade students were taught a lesson in the classroom by two of our county bus drivers. Then, they were able to go outside and practice what they learned with a bus. Thank you Miss Polly and Mr. Ricky! 💛🚌

Attention - Residents near Blue Gray Trail (from top of South Fork Mountain to Oak Flat) and Sweedlin Valley Road. Broadband deployment work is currently scheduled to begin in your area during the week of October 17. The Internet Service Provider, Shentel, will begin by completing route verifications and pole data collection on Friday, October 21. Residents should expect to see construction teams for both Shentel and NTD during that time. This field work is scheduled to be complete by Friday, November 4, 2022

This week is School Bus Safety Week! Our bus drivers have a large impact on our students' education and are often times the first person of contact each day. Please remember to always exercise caution and be alert
while sharing the roads with our buses.

Ms. Simmons’ Girl’s Day out was filled with lots of fun and laughter while they participated in game day!

It was a messy but fun time in KB making bird’s nests. In science, they are learning about where animals live, and each student made their own nest. Thanks parents for sending the supplies. You’re Awesome! 🪺

Please join us this Thursday for our first PTO meeting of the year! Everyone is welcome to attend.
