And the winner is….. 1st grade with 1,118 paper links. FES has had such a fun time with our spirit link fundraiser. With the help of all of our families, the school raised approximately $1,600! WOW! This money will directly benefit our students. We would like to thank all of our families for donating money. Our grandma, Ms. Dianne for cutting ALL of those paper chains, and our FSA officers and members for counting money and stapling chains each day after school. Parents, please consider reaching out to an FSA officer to get involved. It takes many hands to pull off a fundraiser even as simple as this one.

These photos will be used in the yearbook, so encourage your child to come ready to share their best smile!

Mrs. Eye' s fourth grade class enjoyed a visit from Mrs. Jones, a teacher of the visually impaired. The students recently read a story, "The Blind Ambition", in reading class. Mrs. Jones showed the students the Braille alphabet, a stylus and slate used to write Braille, and a book written in Braille. She gave each student a card with their name in Braille. Students gained a deeper understanding through hands-on experience with Braille.

This past Thursday, Dr. Brandon Mitchell presented a check on behalf of the Pendleton County Farm Bureau to the FES Library. The money will be used to purchase farm/agriculture books to be used by students and displayed on the barn bookshelf, which they also donated. We appreciate their continuing support of our school.
