Our 6th grade class had an amazing time on their field trip to Washington, DC! From exploring historic landmarks to making unforgettable memories with friends, it was a wonderful experience. We were also lucky to have absolutely perfect weather! ☀️🇺🇸
Our students had a blast at Field Day! 🏃♀️🏃♂️ Ms. Moore even joined in the fun by playing the egg race with first grade. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and great sportsmanship throughout the day!
Grades 3-6 enjoyed grass tubing at Massanutten Family Adventure Park for earning Accelerated Reader points this school year! The rain did not stop our fun! In fact, it helped us sip down the mountain even faster.
Congratulations to our top 3 Accelerated Readers in the 1st-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and 6th grade divisions!
As we wrapped up April and welcomed May, we had the opportunity to celebrate both Administrative Professionals Day and Teacher Appreciation Week. We are incredibly thankful for the dedicated staff members who work each day to support our students, families, and school community. 4A field day fun!
Fourth grade students participated in activities today organized and led by Pendleton County High School students involved with the Educators Rising Program. Activities were hands-on and covered physical, intellectual, emotional, and social aspects of learning.

Kacey Shifflett with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources shared an "Outdoor Classroom" presentation with third and fourth grade students. They learned about mammals and turtles that are native to West Virginia. The students got to touch the pelts, skulls, and pet "Bean", a Box Turtle.
Fourth grade students enjoyed a presentation from Teresa Heavener, Jessica Basagic, and Nicole Marsh from Pendleton Community Bank. Students learned the importance of spending and saving money by playing an interactive shopping game. They also learned fun facts about banking and money. The presentation ended with a read aloud of "One Proud Penny".
Tattoo a staff member is sponsored by Franklin School Association and is the final fundraiser of the year. Turn in your order forms by this Friday, May 15. Make sure you are at school on Monday, May 18 to see how many tattoos FES staff have! Let's have some fun!

2nd grades field trip to the jump park!
Both PreK classes enjoyed a Day of Painting! They painted flowers, paper, spin rolls, and fingernails! They did an awesome job! Thank you to T & S Building Supplies for donating the post for their flowers!
