
Holiday Dress Up Days!


Pendleton County Schools will have a Non-traditional instructional day today, Monday, December 11.


Pendleton County Schools will be operating on a two hour delay Monday, December 11th.


The Pendleton County Healthy Grandfamilies program will be meeting on Tuesday Dec. 12 at 4:00 pm at Pendleton County High School on the topic of Cyber Safety. Any Grandparent who is the primary caretaker of their grandchildren are invited to participate in the program. Franklin Elementary School had a very special visitor today! The students were very excited to meet "Penny", the therapy dog.


These girls in Mrs. George's class could start a business with their Arts and Crafts! Bracelet-making, weaving potholders, making ornaments, coloring pictures...FUN times at Girl's Day Outs!

Kindergarten A and B listened to the book, "Balloons Over Broadway" about balloon maker and puppeteer, Tony! With Tony's inspiration, our Kinderstars designed their very own Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons and held a Balloon Parade through the hallways of FES!

3A enjoyed their presentations on the first Thanksgiving, learning a Native American dance, and building a model of the Mayflower!




Two hour delay


Students in grades 3-6 who are interested in youth basketball and cheerleading will need to complete the following forms and return them to Travis Heavner by Dec. 1st. Kindergarten "A" was so excited to regain the attendance flag for downstairs. Also, congratulations to 6B for being the winners upstairs!

Kindergarten A and B conducted a science experiment to make Elephant Toothpaste. When we mixed the ingredients inside of our jack-o-lantern, it made him feel a little queasy.




Two students from Kindergarten A presented their robot projects made out of 3-D shapes that we have been learning about in class. We loved hearing about how they used the shapes, what they named their robots, and interesting facts about each of them!



Author Ginny Neil came and discussed writing and forests with students at FES. Students were also able to learn about how to determine the age of trees and how to collect and interpret data through a deer and habitat simulator game.





Mrs. George's 2nd graders loved entering the Pumpkin Drop contest! They worked hard on creating blueprints and designing the safest structure for Lyla the Owl.... and she Survived!!
