KA and KB took a trip to the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department to learn about fire prevention. Members of Company 2 read about Smokey the Bear, explained their fire gear, and showed us around the fire trucks with all of their neat equipment. We are so very thankful they took the time for us to visit and tell us so many important things about fires.

Since September 6th, third grade at FES has been incubating chicken eggs. Each week, Rhiannon Phares and Melissa Grimes have been candling the 21 chicken eggs for the third grade students, as they learn about the Life Cycle. Between September 25th, and September 26th, ten chicks have hatched. The students are anxiously waiting for 9 other eggs to pip over the next couple of days. The 3rd grade students and teachers want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to Rhiannon Phares and Melissa Grimes for their exceptional guidance and support throughout this process.
