Middle school girls' basketball tryouts begin Monday, October 30th from 3:30-5:30pm at the PCMHS Auxiliary gym. This is for students grades 6-8. Students need to have a physical in order to participate. They also need water, gym shoes, and appropriate gym attire for tryouts.
PKB created their own scarecrow after reading "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves"!

Ms. Shreve's 6th grade science students have used their understanding of ecology to craft ecosystem dioramas! These are now showcased in the library.
KA and KB took a trip to the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department to learn about fire prevention. Members of Company 2 read about Smokey the Bear, explained their fire gear, and showed us around the fire trucks with all of their neat equipment. We are so very thankful they took the time for us to visit and tell us so many important things about fires.

Last Friday, FES had two new classes to win the attendance flags. The downstairs classroom with the highest attendance rate for the past two weeks was Mrs. Flanigan's kindergarten class! The upstairs classroom with the highest attendance rate was Mrs. Dove's 3B class! The entire 3B class had PERFECT attendance for TWO STRAIGHT WEEKS!!!! Congratulations!!!!
Mrs . George's girls earned their first Girl's Day Out Tea Party, with sweets and drinking tea with pinkies in the air!
Since September 6th, third grade at FES has been incubating chicken eggs. Each week, Rhiannon Phares and Melissa Grimes have been candling the 21 chicken eggs for the third grade students, as they learn about the Life Cycle.
Between September 25th, and September 26th, ten chicks have hatched. The students are anxiously waiting for 9 other eggs to pip over the next couple of days.
The 3rd grade students and teachers want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to Rhiannon Phares and Melissa Grimes for their exceptional guidance and support throughout this process.
