2nd grade had FUN with a Field Day of their own with some old fashioned games and Minute to Win It activities!

Mrs. George's class enjoyed all the fun games at Field Day!

Thank you!

Mothers of our Kindergarteners came to spend the afternoon at FES. They learned about Title 1 and how to help their child be successful when they get to first grade. They decorated hats and went to a tea party in their child's classroom. This mother's moment is such a special occasion for them. Many mothers of older children tell us they still have their hat from when their child was in Kindergarten.

1st and 2nd graders got to have an AR Reward Party yesterday. They could spend the AR points they earned throughout the year watching Cartoons, playing basketball or kickball, and getting extra recess. Making art, building Lego, and playing with bubbles or sidewalk chalk were the other options. They seemed to enjoy all the different activities.

Preschool and Kindergarten students who participated in and read all 100 books this year got their t-shirts today. They also got to break open geodes and learn about different types of rocks with Gary and Kathy Price. It was such a cool surprise when the insides of the plain-looking rocks were all sparkly and shiny.

Second grade having a wonderful time at the jump park!

Mrs. Plaugher's class finished their unit on volume by creating a volume "zoo." Students had to create a zoo animal and then measure the volume and area of their animal. Each group also wrote a descriptive story on their animal.
